Executive Chairman of the Board

Mr. Aquino joined SeaChange International, Inc. as President and Chief Executive Officer, and a director of the Board, in September 2021. In July 2022, Mr. Aquino was additionally appointed as the Chairman of the Board, and soon later promoted Christoph Klimmer to President to rebalance executive roles and responsibilities. Prior to SeaChange International, Mr. Aquino was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Spartacus Acquisition Corporation which completed an Initial Public Offering as a Special Purpose Acquisition Company (NASDAQ: TMTS) in October 2020. By October 2021, Spartacus closed a successful business combination with NextNav, LLC, a leader in next generation GPS services, including 2.4B Mhz POPs of a 900 Mhz spectrum asset. Prior to Spartacus, Mr. Aquino held key executive positions at a range of Telecom, Media, and Technology (TMT) companies, including: Chairman and CEO of Internap Corporation, Chairman and CEO of Primus Telecommunications Group, and President and CEO of RCN Corporation. At RCN Corp, Mr. Aquino led the company’s transformation into an all-digital HDTV cable TV and Streaming platform, and was the architect to overbuild RCN’s metro markets with an advanced Metro-fiber network throughout the Northeast U.S. and out to Chicago (now part of Crown Castle). Mr. Aquino began his career at AT&T/Bell Atlantic (now Verizon) in 1983, and has served on numerous public company boards, including: Lumos Networks, FairPoint Communications, Alaska Communications, and Tivo Corp. Besides serving as director of SeaChange International, Mr. Aquino is also a board member of NextNav, Inc. since October 2021. Mr. Aquino earned a BA degree from Montclair State University in New Jersey, and an MBA from George Washington University in Washington, DC.

Christoph Klimmer

President, CEO and Director

Christoph Klimmer joined SeaChange International in February 2019 as the Vice President of EMEA sales when the Company acquired Danish streaming platform provider Xstream A/S. Mr. Klimmer was then promoted in February 2021 to Senior Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing, taking on the responsibilities of spearheading sales, strategy and product positioning for the company’s video delivery, ad insertion and distribution software solutions. In October 2021, Mr. Klimmer was promoted to the role of Senior Vice President & Chief Revenue Officer and was promoted to President in August 2022. Previously, Mr. Klimmer held director of global sales and technical sales director, APAC, posts at Xstream, a provider of over-the-top (OTT) TV and video on demand (VOD) services based in Copenhagen, Denmark. He initially helped to build the company’s APAC and international operations in Singapore before taking over global sales responsibilities. He was also instrumental in preparations for Xstream’s acquisition by SeaChange in 2019.

Pawel Luszczek

Senior Vice President & Chief Technology Officer

Pawel Luszczek joined SeaChange International in May 2019, as Vice President of OVP. In July 2020, Luszczek took a position at Link4 as Chief Technology Officer, to then return to SeaChange to oversee a Warsaw-based workforce of 200 employees that develops and enhances the company’s video delivery software solutions for linear, video on demand (VOD) and time-shifted TV (TSTV). In October 2021, Luszczek was promoted to his current role of Senior Vice President & Chief Technology Officer.

Previously, Luszczek held Head of Product Engineering and Chief Technology Officer, posts at Xstream, a provider of over-the-top (OTT) TV and video on demand (VOD) services based in Copenhagen, Denmark. He managed over 60+ Java and PHP developers, Scrum Masters and DevOps, while driving organizational changes to achieve business driven KPIs and best practices for full SLDC.

Elaine Martel

Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary

Elaine Martel initially joined SeaChange in 2005 as SeaChange’s first in-house counsel and is currently Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary.  Ms. Martel previously served as counsel at Shiva Corporation and Stratus Technologies, Inc. before joining SeaChange.  She is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and is also a United States Registered Patent Attorney.  Prior to becoming an attorney, Ms. Martel held various positions in engineering, marketing, product management and customer service at various high technology companies, including Data General Corporation, Bytex Corporation and Shiva Corporation.  Ms. Martel graduated from M.I.T. with an S.B. in Computer Science and Engineering, from Northeastern University with a High Technology M.B.A. specializing in high technology marketing, from Suffolk University Law School with a J.D. specializing in intellectual property law and from the Boston University Law School Graduate Tax Program with a LL.M specializing in intellectual property tax and international tax law.  Ms. Martel served as Chairman of the Worcester (MA) M.I.T. Educational Council, served on the Executive Board of the Marlborough (MA) Medical Reserve Corps, was elected to and served on the Marlborough (MA) School Committee, including as Secretary and Chairman of the Negotiations Committee, and served on the Massachusetts Association of School Committees including Chairman of the Advocacy Committee, member of the Resolutions Committee and member of the Technology Committee.  Ms. Martel is a recipient of the George B. Morgan ’20 Award from the M.I.T. Alumni Association for outstanding service as an Educational Counselor.

Mark Szynkowski

Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer & Treasurer

Mark Szynkowski joined SeaChange International on January 3, 2023 and was appointed as Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of the Company, effective January 23, 2023. Mr. Szynkowski, 55, brings with him over 20 years of finance and accounting experience, an extensive background in mergers and acquisitions, budgeting and forecasting, and a broad knowledge of the software technology industry. Previously, from December 2017 to December 2022, he served as Senior Vice President of Finance and Principal Accounting Officer for Symbolic Logic, Inc. (f/k/a Evolving Systems, Inc.). Prior to that role, he served as Chief Financial Officer of 6D Global Technologies, Inc., a digital marketing technology company. In these positions, he was responsible for overseeing financial operations, including Securities and Exchange Commission filings and Sarbanes–Oxley Act of 2002 compliance and reporting. Earlier in his career, Mr. Szynkowski served in a variety of financial positions with EPIQ Systems, Inc., a global technology, Software as a Service and professional services provider to the legal industry. Over nearly 10 years at EPIQ, Mr. Szynkowski held senior positions, including Vice President of Finance, Electronic Discovery Segment; Corporate Controller; and Subsidiary Controller. Prior to working at EPIQ, he served as Controller for Tradeware Global LLC, Vice President of Finance and Operations for Integro Staffing Services and was a Senior Auditor with Ernst & Young. Mr. Szynkowski has a B.A. in Accounting from Alfred University.

Drumeel Thakkar

Senior Vice President & Chief Service (Delivery) Officer

Drumeel Thakkar joined SeaChange International in June 2019, as Director Business Development & Solutions. Thakkar was promoted to Senior Director- Customer Engineering-NAM, Senior Director- Solutions Engineering, then in February 2021 to Senior VP of Global Operations & Delivery, taking the responsibility of global operations and the technical support organization including solutions, project management and customer engineering and deployment. In October 2021, Thakkar was promoted to his current role of Senior Vice President & Chief Service (Delivery) Officer.

Previously, at SeaChange, he served as director, business development and solutions and then senior director, customer engineering, North America. Thakkar also worked at ATEME, as head of solutions engineering; and Ericsson, as an infrastructure architect: IPTV solutions. He started his career at CenturyLink, where over a six-year period, he grew from senior engineer to principal architect.
