Malta's Melita Group Selects SeaChange to Create and Manage On-Demand Television Service

SeaChange Providing Fully Integrated Adrenalin Platform in Hosted Environment; Operator Targets Summer 2011 Launch

ACTON, Mass. & MALTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- SeaChange International (NASDAQ: SEAC), a leading global multi-screen video software provider, announced today that it is providing a fully integrated solution of software in a managed environment, services and content to bring on-demand television to Melita, the Republic of Malta's leading television operator. Melita selected the SeaChange Express solution with the SeaChange Adrenalin video back office and SeaChange VOD Managed Services, as well as a premium content offering with service management from SeaChange's On Demand Group. Melita plans to launch the on-demand service to its premium subscribers this summer.

The SeaChange Adrenalin video back office will provide an end-to-end management and delivery platform for Melita's on-demand service. Adrenalin is based on an open service-oriented architecture to deliver a television experience that scales to serve millions of assets to any video device across multiple network types, either deployed in a network, or in a hosted model as in this instance. Adrenalin will integrate Netgem set-tops, Anevia's CDN and Verimatrix's conditional access for Melita.

Melita's plan to launch on-demand under the comprehensive OnDemand! service brand will mark the extension of On Demand Group content acquisition and service creation to 18 platforms (including television, mobile and PC) in 12 countries, representing one billion on-demand transactions per year in nine languages.

SeaChange will demonstrate the Adrenalin multi-screen video back office and other advanced video solutions during the IBC conference, Sept. 9-13 (Amsterdam), in hall 1, stand C27.
