SeaChange and This Technology Deliver Joint Solution for Dynamic Advertising in Multi-Screen Video

Market Ready Product to be Demonstrated at The Cable Show; Utilizes Web-Based Campaign Management of VOD, Internet and Mobile Video Advertising

ACTON, Mass. & NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- SeaChange International (NASDAQ: SEAC), a leading global multi-screen video software company, today expanded its range of multi-screen advertising capabilities with the announcement of a joint solution with This Technology, a provider of software solutions for dynamic advertising insertion. The joint solution provides video operators with a single web-based interface to manage advertising campaigns across video-on-demand (VOD), Internet and mobile platforms. Immediately available and planned for demonstrations next week at The Cable Show, the solution leverages Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) and Internet Advertising Bureau (IAB) specifications to interconnect VOD with broadband Internet and mobile advertising systems, forming a true multi-screen advertising management and delivery platform.

What has traditionally required multiple and disparate advertising systems is now accomplished by enabling the SCTE 130 advertising specification to operate with the IAB Digital Video Ad Serving Template (VAST). The Companies' single solution, combining SeaChange's Infusion(TM) Advanced Advertising Platform with This Technology's SpotLink(TM) software, allows operators to use existing broadband servers for placement decisions including dynamic pre-, mid- and post-roll ad insertion into VOD.

"The video advertising landscape is seeing a dramatic change with the integration of Infusion and SpotLink, effectively bringing together the worlds of traditional video with web and mobile," said Malcolm Stanley, General Manager, Disruptive Technology and Monetization, SeaChange. "Video operators now have a powerful new value proposition to offer advertisers: the ability to dynamically insert ads across their VOD, Internet and mobile platforms and come back with detailed reporting under a single campaign."

"The integration of This Technology's suite of advanced services for dynamic ad insertion with the market leading SeaChange platform provides video operators with a feature rich platform that is deployable today," said Jeffery Sherwin, founder and CEO of This Technology. "We are very excited to bring a combined solution to market that is based on an architecture designed for rapid innovation and that provides the power, intelligence, and efficiency that operators and programmers require to scale dynamic ad insertion on all platforms."

SeaChange Infusion helps multi-screen video operators manage centralized ad operations, scale to 150,000 insertable channels and millions of ad assets, and migrate to consolidated regional and national advertising systems that are managed from increasingly web-centric datacenters.

This Technology's SpotLink is a standards-based software product that allows publishers to connect their broadband campaign management systems to the SCTE 130 ecosystem for dynamic ad insertion in content streamed from video servers. This Technology's SpotBuilder provides ad inventory management authoring, distribution and implementation on an SCTE 130 compliant Placement Opportunity Information Service (POIS).
