Kabel BW Launches On-Demand Television with SeaChange|eventIS' Back Office Software

SeaChange Provides Platform, Systems Integration and Content for Videothek Service to 2.3 Million Subscribers

ACTON, Mass. & HEIDELBERG, Germany--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Kabel Baden-Wurttemberg, one of Germany's largest cable television operators, has rolled out on-demand television services based on video back office software and systems integration from SeaChange|eventIS, a subsidiary of the leading global multi-screen video software company, SeaChange International. Dubbed "Videothek", the comprehensive on-demand service is now live to 2.3 million Kabel BW subscribers across Southwestern Germany, offering hundreds of films and series with complete on-demand control and convenience.

Deployed SeaChange products include the SeaChange|eventIS back-office (PRODIS-TRAXIS). As systems integrator on the Kabel BW VOD service, SeaChange|eventIS was responsible for system testing, launch support and integration with set-tops, applications, middleware and network components from third-party suppliers.
