SeaChange's VividLogic Tru2Way(R) Software to be Integrated in Technicolor's Next-Generation Set-Top Boxes

Technicolor to Extend Set-Top Capabilities Through Standards Based Applications & In-Home Connectivity

ACTON, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- SeaChange International (NASDAQ: SEAC), a leading global multi-screen video software company, announced an agreement with Technicolor (Euronext Paris: TCH; NYSE: TCH) today that will bring its VividLogic tru2way(R) software stack to Technicolor's range of next-generation digital set-top boxes in 2011. The standards based product integration places VividLogic software on Intel(R) CE media processors in Technicolor set-top boxes that will enable North American cable operators to roll out advanced set-tops with interactive tru2way consumer applications and high-speed DOCSIS 3.0 support. With more than 100 million digital set-top boxes deployed worldwide, Technicolor is a leading supplier to cable and IPTV service providers.

"SeaChange's collaboration with Technicolor underscores our ability to deliver on the promise of tru2way and fulfill the opportunities of advanced set-tops," said Shiva Patibanda, general manager, In-Home Products, SeaChange. "SeaChange's in-home strategy has gained new ground, leveraging tru2way to enable operators to decouple hardware from software while seamlessly integrating internet based HTML-5 and Flash based user experiences."

"Technicolor is excited to introduce a new breed of digital set-top box that leverages the powerful Intel(R) Atom(TM) processor CE4200 with SeaChange's VividLogic software," said Vince Pizzica, senior executive vice president and president of Technicolor's Digital Delivery Group. "Providing support for SeaChange's VividLogic software is further evidence of our strong commitment to an open ecosystem for the next generation of digital home solutions."

"The integration of SeaChange's VividLogic tru2way software stack on Intel processors represents a powerful new value proposition for cable operators and set-top manufacturers who want to deliver multi-tuner based Hybrid set-tops with high speed DOCSIS 3.0 based connectivity to the internet to their respective customers," said Bob Ferreira, general manager, cable segment, Intel Digital Home Group. "We are looking forward to demonstrating the results of this relationship at CES and in the marketplace itself through Technicolor products."

SeaChange provides VividLogic software to cable television operators, set-top box and chip manufacturers and other consumer electronics suppliers. In addition to its tru2way software, VividLogic products include a DLNA-based multi-tuner gateway, which provides video and supports whole-home DVR to CE devices (wired and wireless).
